Today is the official unveiling of my new Web site. That’s right. My very own online portfolio. I have always wanted a Web site to showcase my writing and editing samples. Reason: Because gone are the days of placing your work solely in portfolio binders. The binders are bulky and cumbersome; they collect dust on your bookcase; and the only air time they get is when you’re interviewing for a job. Afterward, you put them right back on the shelf.
Not so with an online portfolio.

Today, in this digital age people want your Web address so they can easily click on a link and look at your work. They want to see if you have an online presence. If you’re creative. If you know how to work the Internet. If you’re familiar with hyperlinks and permalinks, and uploading photos and videos.
For the past three weeks, I’ve spent countless hours working on this site. Now, I am announcing it to the world. The best part is that this site was free. I didn’t have to pay a dime to create it. My only expense was purchasing a domain name, which is $17 a year. Can’t beat that!
With great excitement, I invite you to visit my Home page and read my bio, click on the menu bar and the different page tabs to view my work. If you have any suggestions, comments, or criticisms, please let me know by leaving a comment on my blog. I will greatly appreciate it. (Just click on Leave a Reply at the bottom of the blog post and type away. Don’t forget to click on Post Comment to deliver your message.) Until then, I will see you around in the wonderful world of cyberspace. Take care!
